Alexa Bendall


Dr Alexa Bendall completed her medical studies at the University of Queensland. She was lucky enough to complete medical electives in India, the Solomon Islands and in the indigenous community of the Tiwi Islands. She went on to become an Obstetrician and subspecialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine.

During her training, she worked in Cairns, Redlands, Mater Mother Hospital, the Gold Coast Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Womens’ Hospital. During this time, she served as a member of the O&G Magazine Committee which allowed her to advocate for women’s health. For the past 5 years she has worked in tertiary Maternal Fetal Medicine units where she has provided care for women with high risk pregnancies.

Alexa’s favourite thing is meeting women and their families. She loves to be a part of your journey, no matter how straight-forward or complicated that may be. She will share your highs and support you through any challenges you may face.

When she is not at work Alexa enjoys yoga, swimming and spending time her young family.
