Welcome from QUFW

Queensland Ultrasound for Women (QUFW) is a specialist O&G ultrasound service led by Obstetricians and Gynaecologists who subspecialise in ultrasound and Maternal Fetal Medicine. Our team works with highly trained sonographers and high-end 3D/4D systems across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Ipswich.

Do You See These Challenges In Daily Practice?

  • Do I need a 13-week scan after a low-risk NIPT, and how often does it change management?
  • How do I counsel on thickened nuchal translucency when NIPT is low risk?
  • When should I start aspirin based on first trimester screening and uterine artery Dopplers?
  • How do I time NIPT with high BMI, Clexane use, or vanishing twin?
  • Which sonographic endometriosis findings should trigger referral to an advanced laparoscopic team?
  • How do I use dynamic signs like mobility and sliding to support a likely diagnosis?
  • When should I recommend CVS or amnio rather than repeat screening?
If you have any of these questions, this webinar series will provide value to you.

Video 2:

Why the 13-Week Scan Still Matters After NIPT

Presenter: Assoc. Prof Rob Cincotta

  • Interpreting increased nuchal translucency with low-risk NIPT and when to offer invasive testing
  • Early recognition of spina bifida, cardiac defects, skeletal dysplasia, lower urinary tract obstruction, and abdominal wall defects
  • Twin chorionicity assignment at the first scan and why it changes surveillance
  • Preeclampsia screening at 11–13 weeks and who benefits from aspirin
  • Real case progressions from first signs to outcomes and counselling points
Video 3:

Endometriosis on Ultrasound for Referrers

Presenter: Dr Jackie Chua

What you’ll see:
  • When to request advanced pelvic ultrasound and what to include on the referral
  • Dynamic assessment: site-specific tenderness, ovarian mobility, and sliding signs
  • How to interpret reports that describe uterosacral nodules, kissing ovaries, rectovaginal involvement, or bladder lesions
  • Distinguishing adenomyosis from fibroid disease and why it matters for symptoms and fertility
  • How scan findings guide medical management, timing of fertility plans, and surgical triage
